What is the school?

Welcome Home. On the Farm. In the Kitchen. Around the table.

The Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School story began in a 19th-century farmhouse tucked into the heart of a working vineyard and surrounded by fields under constant cultivation.

What started as a family home and country outpost eventually became the heart of the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School. Near to nowhere and open to everything, this is the soul of our Sicilian programs.
Here, the rhythms are slower. Life gathers around the courtyard, where guest rooms, our teaching kitchen, and simple comforts converge. Trails weave through the vineyards, shifting in color and texture with the turning months. A serene pool offers respite in summer, and in cooler weather, our library invites you to curl up and wander through stories of food, place, and people.
Whether you join us for a Signature Stay or a Workshop, you’ll find yourself at home in rural Sicily.

Workshops

dive deeper: focused on seasonal ingredients like tomatoes or olive oil, or guided by guest chefs and makers whose creative practice is rooted in food and craft.

Signature Stays

are four-night immersive experiences that blend hands-on cooking with visits to local food producers, tastings, and time to rest into the rhythms of rural Sicily.

The Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School is not a destination.
It is a place to return to your senses, to your curiosity, to the land itself.

Our accommodations are placed in three different areas across the 1,200 acre property.

Case Vecchie

The home of Anna Tasca Lanza, Case Vecchie is where all meals and cooking lessons take place. The rooms at Case Vecchie are rustic and charming, furnished with pieces from the original estate. The rooms are an extension of the home, not a hotel, and each room has its own bathroom, although not directly ensuite. Several rooms have sweeping views of the vineyard and gardens from their signature blue shuttered windows. Rooms are equipped with two single beds or a double bed and are assigned according to availability.

Casa Costanza

In the middle of the estate, five kilometers from the school, perches Casa Costanza. This sweet little house with a stunning view among the vines has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all with traditional Sicilian furniture and linens. We will organize your rides to and from Case Vecchie for all lessons and meals. Rooms are assigned according to availability, but if you are interested in one of the cottages for a group please let us know at booking.

Casa Rosemarie

Casa Rosemarie is five kilometers from the school, a little house overlooking the vineyards near the main building of Tasca d’Almerita winery. There are three bedrooms: one room with two twin beds and an ensuite bathroom, one room with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, and one room with a queen bed and the bathroom down the hall. We will organize your rides to and from Case Vecchie for all lessons and meals. Rooms are assigned according to availability, but if you are interested in one of the cottages for a group please let us know at booking.
